Known for its central location in Salt Lake County, Murray has been called the Hub of Salt Lake County. Murray is served by the Utah Transit Authority (UTA) bus system. American International School of Utah is located less than 15 minutes from Salt Lake City International Airport.

Merit Academy Campus

1440 West Center St. Springville, UT 84663

Springville, also known as Art City, is a great city only 10 minutes south of Provo and 45 minutes south of Salt Lake City. Merit is at a great location right up against the mountains and close to the freeway.

Providence Hall Campus

4557 West Patriot Ridge Drive Herriman, Utah 84096

Herriman is a new, safe city that is rapidly growing. Providence Hall is found at high elevation making the view of the Salt Lake Valley unbelievable. Herriman is also a great location, making it only a 30 minute drive to downtown Salt Lake City.

History


 

Founded in 1989, Meridian School first served preschool through twelfth grade, with about 10% of the student body being international. Meridian’s community thrived with innovative educators, parents, and especially its students.  Its influence can still be felt in Utah and across the nation as those who were involved went on to success in business, the arts, law, and education. In 2012, Meridian School changed its education model to better serve and lead a changing education environment.  Meridian now partners with excellent public schools to provide an innovative personalized education for international and local students.

Meridian School is governed by a Board of Directors comprised of parents, educators and community leaders.

ACADEMICS

Academic Program


 

Challenging college preparatory, liberal arts curriculum with Advanced Placement Courses (10 AP courses offered), honors courses, fine arts, performing arts, and athletics.

Meridian School is currently serving 7th-12th grade students.

Meridian School serves over 1,000 local students and international students through various part time and full time programs.

Schedule


 

Students take eight classes per semester, typically four classes per day on an alternating schedule.

Class Size


 

Approximately 25 students per class.

Meridian School has prepared and sent students to top-tier US Universities including: Harvard University, University of Notre Dame, University of Michigan, Brigham Young University, University of California, Case Western University, Penn State University.

Performing Arts


 

Excellent Performing Arts Programs including Theater, Orchestra, Band, Debate, and Choir.

Athletic Teams


 

Meridian School athletic teams participate in the Utah High School Activities Association. Competition teams include Boys Golf, Co-ed Cross Country, Girls Soccer, Girls Tennis, Girls Volleyball, Boys & Girls Basketball, Baseball, Boys Soccer, Boys Tennis Girls Golf, and Softball.
